Unified National Testing - the system of assessment of graduates' knowledge, applied in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Description

The first UNT was introduced in 1999. Unified national testing is carried out in the last days of June, in 10 flows (1 day = 1 flow). The UNT is carried out in one stage and is estimated on a 140-point scale. Pupils in one day hand over five subjects in three basic (mathematical literacy, reading literacy, History of Kazakhstan) - 20 tasks for each and in two specialized subjects — 30 tasks for each (10 tasks in specialized subjects have several correct answers, therefore for the correct answer they are given 2 points each). To hold the UNT is given 3 hours 50 minutes, that is 230 minutes. The minimum passing score for entering universities in 2017 is 50 out of 140 (every year this score changes). In the competition for an educational grant, all 140 points are counted. The UNT is also a serious psychological test.
